NDP 2006

NDP Parade 2006 was awesome.
It was held at the national stadium for the last time.
It was a truly meaningful experience to be sitting among thousands of other Singaporeans watching the spectacular celebration happening.

Reach Kallang at around 4pm. Met Ari.
We make our way to Kallang Stadium.
A magnificent celebration awaits.

It was far. And having to walk that far, is abit tiring.
Though tired, we still pull thru. Little steps still do cover far. hee..
We got seated only at 530pm.
Soon later, the show starts..

Sheikh Haikel, welcome all Singaporeans to the NDP 06 celebration.
Together hosting with him, soon, come along, Gurmit Singh, Jean Danker n Michelle.
Dey rock i tell ya!!
Things start of with the choirs.
Beautiful medley sang by them.
The RED LIONS make their way from high up the sky to the center point of landing in the middle of the stadium. They did their landing perfectly. Superb!!
Follow up, the marching parade!!
God!! My most awaited moment.
I just love man in uniforms!!
They look totally smart n professional..*melting*

Mr S R Nathan arrived. Made his checks on the marching parade then making his round around the stadium on the rover. Everyone wave at him. Excited!!
The National Anthem was then played. I sang with pride. Hee.

The celebration keeps on going.
All the four host keeps the ball rolling..With their brilliant hosting and getting the crowd's participation to make the celebration fun!
I just love the Kallang wave! haha! Perfect teamwork Singaporean!!

FIREWORKS!!!
From the very beginning till the end of the celebration.
Fireworks are released. Non-stop hits!!
Absolutely beautiful.. Colourful.. Sparkling..
The most fireworks released ever!
I just love it..

Towards the end of the celebration.
Things get abit sad. Coz we know its the last time and its ending real soon.
1973-2006.
A long period, the National Stadium bring lots of memories to Singapore.
To forget, never, to remember, always.
More n more fireworks fill the sky. The most is at my sector. The green sector.
So lucky me!! I got to view the most out of all.

Soon, everything ended.
Made my way home with a story to tell and an experience to remember..
